Chee Yang here, hope school has not been too stressful for all of you so far. I presume that your anticipation for Gift sessions this year has brought you to this blog, and I have exactly what you want. May I present to you, the lesson guides for Gift of Reading term 1!! (this is the part where you start clapping and cheering)

Theme 1: Nursery Rhymes (to be confirmed, session ICs pls discuss the lesson guides for this one and post it on the blog once done)

Theme 2: Hobby

Big Book: Mr Li's teapots
Week 1: Drawing & colouring
Week 2: Matching game
Week 3: Hobby vs Bad Habits

Theme 3: Animals

Week 1: big book (Because of a Sneeze), songs and games (tom & jerry), small books
Week 2: big book (Grandpa Grandpa), small books, colouring
Week 3: small books, crocodile game (play other games during excess time)

Theme 4: Occupation

Week 1: big book (fantastic cake), making of baker hats
Week 2: small books, puzzle race
Week 3: act it, guess it & charades

Logistics

Nursery rhyme: pictures for colouring (Jack to source for colouring pages)

Hobby: Matching games (print outs?? to be decided on a nearer date)

Animals: Colouring pages

Occupation:
[Week 1] Cup cakes (should be bought), paper, colour pencils
[Week 2 and week 3] Pics of different occupations (with colour)
